Sarah Burton's debut womenswear for Alexander McQueen did not disappoint with romantic gowns and embellished armour-inpsired tops for the Pre-Spring 2011 collection. Inspired by Hans Bellmer dolls and samurai warriors the line features materials such as lacquered raffia, hand-worked lace, wool crepe and silk.

Betsey Pays Her Respect

Fashion favorite Betsey Johnson pays her respect to the late Alexander McQueen during New York Fashion Week. The death of 40-year-old McQueen was unexpected and a shock to the fashion world when he was found in his apartment last week. He will be remember as one of the most original and creative designers of his time.
