The Oscars of Fashion: CFDA Fashion Awards 2010


Carmen Kass looked beautiful in her backless Michael Kors shimmering gown with a simple slit at the hem. The cowl-neck champagne dress was paired Fred Leighton jewelry and gold gladiator sandals.

Maintaing her title as the new fashion 'It Girl', Dakota Fanning rocked a lace and tulle overlay Marchesa Spring 2010 Bridal Dress and textured Brian Atwood 'Alix ' Peep -Toe Pumps. The 16-year-old "Uptown Girls" star topped the splashed-white mini off with a Jennifer Behr headpiece. Her latest Twilight film "Eclipse" is due in theaters June 30.

Sarah Jessica Parker paid tribute to the late Alexander McQueen in a breathtaking purple and pink floral gown from his Fall 2010 collection as she presented the designer the 'CFDA Board of Directors Special Tribute Award' at the event. She polished the vibrant number with Stephen Russell jewelry and a VHB bag.

Emerging designer Whitney Port of 'Whitney Eve' donned a shimming jersey David Miester gown with a plunging neckline and draping waist. She finished the silver halter with a Jimmy Choo 'Cosma' Clutch and simple accessories.

In a daring chiffon Diane Von Furstenburg island-print dress, Jessica Biel glowed in her colorful jewel-embellished natural waist tunic. The fun print was created by a St. Martin's student Carrie Hill in a contest by DVF.

Alexa Chung sported her trademarked 'Granny Chic' style last night, in a nude Marc Jacobs Fall 2010 chiffon button-down dress, embellished with a Sworovski bow. She paired the long-sleeve number with a buti embroidered velvet clutch.

Critic favorite was none other than Hollywood's latest red-carpet icon, Gwyneth Paltrow. Wearing a stunning custom paillette Michael Kors one shoulder gown, with a chic but classy side cut-out, Gwyneth looked fresh and fashionable pairing the black number off with a crocodile Michael Kors clutch and Fred Leighton jewelry.

Michelle Trachtenberg shined in her midnight blue Rebecca Taylor strapless gown with metallic embroidery at the bodice as she posed with designer Rebecca Taylor, who wore her own simple but chic lace piece.

MTV host Alexa Chung looks super model-esque in her recent spread in V Magzine. The UK born fashionista looks exquisite in Dolce & Gabbana, Chanel and a Stella McCartney lace jumpsuit that Stella herself wore to the MET Ball this year. Chung told V, "I don't really have any friends in America...I just don't tolerate douche bags", on making friends in a new environment.
